If you’ve been paying attention to the HS Equestria Girls blog I run you may have seen that I’ve been playing around a LOT with both the Lockoncam mod, Shortcuts mod, and Moviemaker Mod for Neo. All of these really expand upon your ability to have a steady cam that you can shoot videos within. My many vids are here.
All are quite amazing in different ways!!
LockonCam Mod locks on a single character, let’s you spin around that focus and keep the camera steady. It works in Honey Studio. You focus on their head first but can move on down (until you start back at the head again). Clicking on a new character makes you zoom over to them and start the process again. It’s great to zoom around a single crowded studio scene like you’re a perverted photographer. You can also hit N and get a jarring lockon while they are in movement, but i generally avoid that. Hit L to go to the next girl in line.
The Shortcuts mod works best in the Honey Studio and Honey Select Game and allows some choice height and axis adjustments for your out of sync movements (especially for loli characters) and a load of other features. Camera-wise the theatrical mode (circling the character) is what looks pretty nice (use T and then C to change those settings). You can change eye and mouth setting on the fly with the mod (F5+F7), but that also does it for all the characters in your studio lot.
This is the first video I made with the Moviemaker Mod for Honey Select Neo which allows you to do any shot setups by timeline. It really revolutionizes how HS videos may look in the future.
