There’s new furry skins and cards available out there now. These are a load of fun. I highlighted them on this and this post awhile back.
However, I missed on of the biggest parts of those mods is that you need

That mod not only allows great tattoos but these animal skins (especially complicated / multi-color ones like the fox, lizard, and leopard to work).
You will also want Fija’s Elin Ears and Tails
Once you have that mod and the skins in place (put the textures in Honey Select\Plugins\SkinTexMod\Textures) hit J to activate it, a purple diamond will shine by the character, click it, select from the skins available (they scroll to the left and the right), and select it.
Hit J to get out. You can also repeat the steps and select “reset skin” as one of the options if you’re stuck with a skin overlay that you don’t like.
